Dehytray: Solar Food Drier

The Dehytray is a portable solar food dehydrator for drying foods at home. It uses the sun's natural heat and UV rays to dehydrate foods without any electricity.

Solar dehydration is an inexpensive, environmentally-friendly food preservation method. It helps reduce food waste and provides healthy, all-natural foods.

The Dehytray solar food dehydrator is easy to set up and use. It has trays that fit onto a sturdy base. You simply arrange the food on the trays, place them in direct sunlight, and the Dehytray allows air circulation and heat circulation to slowly and gently dehydrate the food.

Solar driers are affordable, effective and easy to use. They require no electricity, fuel, or expensive machines. The sun's energy is free and solar dehydration helps preserve seasonal foods for use year-round.

Dehytray and solar dehydration methods are a great way to preserve foods in a healthy, safe, and eco-friendly manner. The dried foods retain more nutrients than shelf-stable canned or frozen foods. They also have an intense flavor and chewy texture.

Some of the foods that can be successfully dehydrated using Dehytray and solar dehydration include:

• Fruits: Apples, berries, bananas, papaya, etc.

• Vegetables: Tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, etc.

• Herbs: Oregano, basil, mint, chilies, etc.

• Beans and legumes: Chickpeas, lentils, etc.

• Meat and seafood: Beef jerky, fish fillets, etc.

The dried foods can be stored for several months and enjoyed as is or added to foods for extra nutrition, flavor and texture.
